Always use flyback diode (1N4007 or similar) across coil to protect microcontroller
Do not exceed 6V - overvoltage will damage the coil

Protection Circuit (Required)

When using with Arduino or microcontroller, connect a flyback diode across the electromagnet:

Without flyback protection, voltage spikes can damage your Arduino or driver
Use MOSFET or relay driver for controlling the electromagnet
Never connect electromagnet directly to Arduino pin - insufficient current

Usage Tips for Maximum Performance

  • For full 3KG suction, ensure target surface is flat and clean
  • Target metal should be ferromagnetic (iron/steel) and at least 5mm thick
  • Holding force is not the same as pickup weight actual pickup is 500g600g
  • Perfectly flat steel surfaces yield best holding power
  • For continuous operation, ensure adequate ventilation - heat buildup is normal
Actual suction depends on surface contact and metal type
For pick-up applications, reduce expectation to 1/5 of holding force
